Fiene Scharp, born in 1984 in Berlin, is a German artist whose practice explores the interplay between structure and fragility through meticulous paper cuts, drawings, and installations. Her work often involves transforming found or self-constructed grids into delicate, net-like structures by manually excising the spaces between lines, resulting in intricate patterns that oscillate between two and three dimensions. These pieces, sometimes layered within acrylic glass boxes, evoke associations with architecture, systems, and cellular formations .
