Space Opening in Brussels (BE)

Galerie Martin Kudlek is very pleased to announce the opening of an exhibition space in Brussels on October 7, 2022, in collaboration with Galerie Eric Mouchet (Paris) and Patrick Heide Contemporary Art (London). Located at the Avenue Van Volxem 333 in the neighborhood Forest, next to the center of contemporary art WIELS and adjoining Galila’s POC, space of the collector Galila Barzilai Hollander, this 400 m2 1900 vernacular house offers three floors of exhibition spaces and a beautiful garden intended to present sculptures. Happening place of the contemporary art scene and center of many European collections and foundations, Brussels was the obvious choice for the three gallery owners who already have a strong local network in the city. Driven by the desire to show regularly works by the artists they represent regularly, the French, British and German galleries will present for this opening a selection of emblematic pieces, to give Belgian collectors a more in depth insight into their programs. Convinced that the future of prospective galleries lies in their ability to pool their efforts, Martin Kudlek, Patrick Heide and Eric Mouchet want to make the new Brussels gallery a venue for all kinds of curatorial initiatives. Having met fifteen years ago in Basel, Eric Mouchet, Patrick Heide and Martin Kudlek have continued to participate and colaborate at international fairs, united by their interest in works on paper. The partnership between the galleries began in June 2022 with the exchange of their exhibition spaces in Paris and Cologne to introduce their respective artists in these cities and extend the network of collectors.

This space opening is supported by Galila Barzilai Hollander.
